Software developer building audio technology and apps from the ground up
Self-taught experienced web developer sharing what I build, from low-level audio DSP and full-stack apps to digital product designs.
I'm a self-taught developer who builds real-world applications end-to-end.
Hello, everyone! I am Alexis Vasquez, and I am a software developer who builds complete systems from scratch - from low-level audio DSP in C++ to full-stack apps with Python and Flutter. Over the past three years , I have independently designed and shipped AudioMIX, an AI-assisted music production software with its own custom programming language, and Track That Money, a budgeting mobile app built for neurodivergent individuals who get overwhelmed by finances. This site is where I share what I'm working on: AudioMIX, Track That Money, BritTrip, COBOL development, and more.

Originating from New York, New York, I began coding at a young age. However, I earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature and Language Studies from CUNY Lehman College in the Bronx, NY before deciding to transition to web development professionally. I am now currently residing in Miami, FL.

Background includes freelance web development, founder of AMV Digital Studios, Full-Stack Web Developer with Google Developer Groups Miami, and prior work spanning COBOL development, project management, and system administration.
web and software development
Skilled, advanced, real-world, hands-on coding
I am a freelance web designer and software developer with extensive experience in various coding languages, tools, and cloud computing platforms.Technology stack:Python, C languages (C/C++), JavaScript, JSON, Git, Dart, Kotlin, PowerShell, COBOL, Shell Script (Bash), SQL, Electron, Vite, React, PyTorch, PortAudio, JUCE, Flutter, FastAPI, Android Studio, Google Cloud Platform.I am the developer of AudioScript, a custom musical programming language as a domain specific language to AudioMIX.I use Android, Linux distributions (Ubuntu), Chromium, and Windows 11.
Track That Money
An expense tracking mobile application built with Flutter.
An expense tracking mobile app to know why you're broke. The mobile application is designed for neurodivergent individuals who get overwhelmed dealing with finances.
Flutter/Dart frontend, FastAPI backend - built as a full cross-platform app, not just a prototype.
Designed for people who find budgeting overwhelming, not spreadsheet power-users - simplicity was a core design constraint, not an afterthought.
Expense/income logging, custom budgets, and spending limits, covering the core loop of day-to-day money tracking.
Juniper2.0 (the AI-powered insights chatbot) is in active development. It is aimed at turning raw numbers into plain-language guidance instead of charts you have to interpret yourself.
User authentication system so financial data stays private and tied to individual accounts.
Currently local-first, with cloud sync planned next - an intentional sequencing choice to get the core experience right before scaling storage.
Actively maintained with a clear roadmap toward the AI features.
AMV DIGITAL STUDIOS
Original digital product designs for mental health
Designed and published a series of 3 digital mental health journals, sold independently on Etsy. Concept, layout, and publishing - end to end, with real customer sales.
Original designs created in Canva and Inkscape, covering both layout/print design and vector illustration work.
Trauma-informed design approach - content and structure crafted with care, not generic templates.
In active use at a local women's shelter, meaning these aren't just theoretical - they're being used by people who need them.
A Letter To Your Younger Self - 16-page guided journal for reconnecting with your inner child.
Shadow Work Journal - 50-page self-reflective journey structured into 5 distinct parts.
DARVO Defense Mini-Journal - 7-page workbook for trauma survivors navigating manipulation tactics.
Printable, downloadable format - designed for immediate personal use, no physical shipping required.

the future of live performance
Meet AudioMIX, an AI-assisted digital audio workstation and live performance engine
AudioMIX is an AI-assisted music production and live performance tool, built from the ground up over the past year. It combines low-level C++ DSP modules with Python-based AI - using librosa and PyTorch Lightning - for real-time audio analysis and EQ prediction, all bridged together through a custom C++/Python interface. At its core is AudioScript, a purpose-built programming language for controlling live and intermediate representation (IR)-based audio behavior - written entirely from scratch, syntax and all. The project also includes plans for LED integration, turning audio analysis into synchronized live visuals for performances.Getting the environment right was its own project: audio routing between WSL2 and Windows, live-context performance constraints under Python's GIL, and a build pipeline that has to hold up in real time, not just in a notebook. The desktop experience is built with Electron, React, and Vite, providing a unified visual environment where composition, live coding, AI collaboration, and hardware control all coexist in one interface. It's organized into three distinct modes: STUDIO, a full DAW environment with a dual-view arrangement canvas (linear timeline and frequency spectrogram), layered clips, and a channel mixer; LIVE, centered on the AudioScript Live editor with real-time evaluation and inline AI assistance from Juniper2.0; and PERFORM, a minimal full-screen surface built for on-stage readability, with hardware integration for LED arrays, MIDI controllers, and DMX lighting rigs. The Electron shell talks to the AudioMIX core engine through a FastAPI/WebSocket bridge, keeping UI and audio engine session state in sync in real time.AudioMIX is open source and has seen genuine organic interest from other developers.
Let's build something
